I just wanted to tell you that I had an amazing trip from beginning to end. Your country is absolutely beautiful , the videos I saw on the internet were right,. I enjoyed staying at the gers, and at the tepee on the lake; they were all different , very cleaned as were the bathroom facilities. Your itinereary was perfect, we got to see a lot in the amount of time we had. The festival was like attending an Olympic opening ceremony, the dances, the singing, the clothes, the parade, it was amazing. I also enjoyed going to the horse races, the only thing I wish we could have seen were the archery and the wrestling as part of the festival.
The tour guides were very knowledgeable and helpful, the drivers were unbelievable, felt very safe with them driving on those unpaved roads. The guide Ugga?? we had on the itinerary was extremely nice, helpful, always ready to accommodate any requests she had, she went above and beyond to make sure all of us were having a good time, were leaning about your country, the food and the culture. All in all a great experience. Thanks for all you did for us , specially accommodating our needs to check out late at the last hotel.
I will definitely recommend you and your tour company to anyone who would like to visit your fabulous country.
Just returned from the Discover Mongolia with Naadam tour. What a trip. It was fabulous. Our guide, Uka, and drivers, Dambaa and Ayush were the best. We had so many questions before the trip started, and Bat answered them all. We were well prepared when we arrived in Ulaanbaatar. From the time we were met at the airport until we got on the plane to return home, we were well taken care of. The Festival was amazing. We were at the opening ceremonies and the horse racing. Uka got us great seats and explained what was going on. The country is beautiful. I was a little apprehensive about staying in a ger. I wasn't sure how that would work, but it turned out to be fun. They were clean and cozy. The food was good everywhere we ate. Having Mongolia BBQ with a family was VERY interesting. I have never eaten fresher meat. The family was friendly and inviting and the BBQ was quite good. Having Uka and Damba and Ayush to translate made us instant friends with the family. We saw so much, did so much and learned so much. Bouncing down the dirt roads listening to Mongolia music and looking at the beautiful scenery is something I will never forget. I am so glad we discovered "Discover Mongolia". It truly was a trip of a life time. I recommend it. 5 stars to Discover Magolia, Bat, Uka, Damba and Ayush.
I travelled with Discover Mongolia in July on their 14-day tour of the same name. The itinerary was very well put together and offered variety of steppe, desert, mountains, lakes...... I enjoyed both the cultural part of the trip as well as the various activities, such as horse riding, camel riding, climbing the dunes in the Gobi. Staying in gers and teepees was a great experience. Everything was well organised and our tour guide Munkhbold and the driver Battulga were simply excellent - true professionals with good sense of humour. My 2 fellow travellers and I had an unforgettable trip in a fantastic country. I'll be back!
Me and my friends spent 2 weeks in Mongolia with Discover Mongolia Travel travelling from Gobi dessert to Khovsgol lake. We enjoyed the entire trip a lot. Everything was perfectly organised as from arrival until our departure. Special thanks to our guide Oyuna: she was very well prepared, introducing us to the Mongolian traditions and culture. We had a lot of fun together. Last but not least: our driver Sako:) Overall: Great experience
Wow, Mongolia what a fantastic gem you are!!!
After searching online for a tour company to travel Mongolia with we settled on Discover Mongolia and didn't regrett it for a minute.
Starting in Ulaanbaatar and spending the day touring this fantastic city with our city guide Goomaral we got to enjoy all that Ulaanbaatar had to offer.
The following day we flew to the South Gobi city of Dalanzadgad. Here we met our driver Nandin and our guide Togoso who we would be travelling overland throughout Mongolia over the next 14 days.
Our guide Togoso and our driver Nandia made the journey very easy and enjoyable, and even though on some days we spent a long time in our car Togoso would keep us entertained with many stories of Mongolia and answered our hundreds of questions on everything from local life to the vast history Mongolia has to offer.
We could always rely on Nandia to get us to our next destination even though through most of Mongolia there were no roads, just the tracks of a vehicle that may of travelled before you and occasionally we even made our own tracks going cross-country!!!!
By choosing to travel mostly by overland, it was a great way to see such a diverse change of scenery from the deserts in the South Gobi, to the lakes and forests of the Khovsgol area.
Along the way to get to marvel at the fantastic wildlife and the way of life of Mongolia's many nomadic people. Animal life we witnessed along the way included Eagles, Ibex, Wild Stallions, Bactrian Camels, goats, cowes, horses, sheep, ground squirrels - all without a single fence in sight!!! The scenery, wildlife & people we met along the way made memories that will stay in our minds for years to come.
Some major highlights for us were meeting a couple of Nomad family's and appreciating how hard their way of life is.
Another highlight was experiencing the local Nadaam Festivities in the local region of Kharakhorum. This festival was amazing - the horse racing consisted of 20/25 kilometre races ridden by jockeys aged between 5 & 16!!! As well as the wrestling and archery competitions , there was also so much colour everywhere as all the locals wore their best outfits for the event!!
Our accommodations in the "Ger" camps changed each night , some were fantastic and some were just comfortable, but i consider that all part of the adventure!!
A big thanks to our guide Togoso, our driver Nandin and our Ulaanbataar city guide Goomaral who all helped make our Mongolian adventure as memorable and exciting as we were hoping ;)

I found and chose this company based on very positive reviews. We have just completed a 2 week trip around Mongolia - "Discover Mongolia" signature trip - and absolutely loved both the country and the tour. Can highly recommend to go on this trip.
First few tips for those booking afterwards: it may be worth waiting for a "discount period". We booked our tour for full price and just few weeks later they offered a pretty big discount online. Obviously we did not get it, which was a bummer. So, maybe check or wait for it :). Also not everything in the program went as planned: we were supposed to see reindeer in the end of the trip but due to traveling in September - end of the season - the reindeers already moved on. It was not a big deal for us but actually was a big disappointment for some other fellow travelers.
The company provided very good vehicles, accommodation was excellent and the food of very good quality and variety. Our crew was fabulous, great spirit, they really went above and beyond. The drivers were both very reliable, friendly and loads of fun. It felt that we all became "a family" in the trip. The guide made sure our special requests were met (example, we wanted to visit a local school, we wanted to eat / try more local food, etc - they accommodated all these requests).
I also very much liked the diversity of landscape, animals and climate zones which we visited during this trip. Gobi was very hot and by the time we arrived in the North - it was freezing temperatures in the night. Amazing way to see how beautiful and different Mongolia is. September is a great time to travel - not crowded, some nice yellow colors in the North. We were alone at Khovsgul lake in the end of the trip - which is something very special in today's world of busy and frequent travelers.
The company also made sure we met local people and learnt about their lifestyle and traditions. There were many highlights and nice surprises on the way... Great job!
