We did 2 tours with Discover Mongolia: 4 Day Gobi Dessert Tour with and the Day tour to Turtle Rock. Both guides where excellent. Every detail was incredible. Food in the tour was also delicious.
We were able to customise our trip and had a fantastic time with our guide Togos. The vehicle was comfortable and modern. Togos spoke great English and was actively interested in what we wanted to do and was happy to adjust things as the trip went on with a visit to a cashmere factory outlet on the way home. Heavily recommended.
Excellent personal service provided by Ibo and Kamba. My trip included stays in several gers, climbing in the Eagle Valley and dunes, the Altay mountains and many other amazing sights in the Gobi desert.
Amazing, shocking & worth doing.
As most tourists go on Summer for Naadam, I was not completely sure of my decision to go for Winter Festivals. However, it was great!
A good balance between natural & cultural experiences. Horse sledding, camel riding, interaction with reindeers and eagles was what I expected the tour to be. Beauty of frozen Lake Huvsgui resembles a stained window made of blue crystals and white ribbons.
You can be part of ancient times for instants, being at a shamanic bonfire ritual, hearing throat singing or watching carved reindeer on stone pillars in the middle of nowhere.
And you share real folk moments, being at a small town dance, sleeping at a local house and having homemade meals. Even camel rodeo feels so real, as it is not cowboy rodeo where experts display as entertainment, but a display of skills used on their daily life.
Togosoo guided us for the most part of the time thru this journey and thru the cultural differences, helping us to understand traditional and modern Mongolia, and making our stay comfortable. Ochiroo, our driver, was always friendly and ready to take us for hours and hours thru the endless prairies of the nomads.
Yes, it is an agency I recommend, and a country I would like to return one summer.
Spent the Lunar New Year with a nomadic family along with my translator Enkh. An absolutely incredible experience.
I booked this trip not knowing much about Mongolia, but everyone was so warm and welcoming and I learned so much about the culture. It was extremely cold, however I feel like that just provided to the experience and the story. Being from the city, I was completely out of my element about 99% of the time, but Enkh provided me everything I needed and really provided context for everything we were doing which was awesome. My translator was also pretty close to me in age, so it felt very informal and as if I was just hanging out with a friend, which was nice.
Great trip, I would definitely recommend!
This is a professional outfit.
Most tours seem to follow the same route and go to the same camps, the differences between the tour companies seems largely to revolve around the quality of the tour vehicle and guide/driver.
This company uses comfortable Japanese vehicles and was professionally driven by our driver (Nyama). Our guide (Togosoo) speaks perfect English, was well informed, very helpful and very sociable.
In addition, they have a back office able to sort out any issues that arise.
Recommended.
