Sukhbaatar Square

This is the main square in the heart of Ulaanbaatar. A large statue of Sukhbaatar, the famous patriot characterizes the square, and the square is named after this historic figure. Such important buildings as the Parliament House, Stock Exchange, the Drama Theater and Cultural Palace are located surrounding the square.

Sukhbaatar square was formed in the early part of the XIX century by the name of the Great Universe. The northern edge of the Great Pleasure was the Yellow Castle (south of the existing Child Center Center), the southern edge of the Choijin Lama Temple, the left and right sides of the monastery, and the lords.

During the summer and winter time, a tower was performed and a ceremony to worship the Bogd Mountain. On July 8, 1921, D.Sukhbaatar came to Khuree with his troops. In the middle of the East Ridge, the crowd was delighted and welcomed and the soldiers pulled their horses. At that moment the generals were tearing. The "Gull Head", Gavah, who saw it, thought that it was a great place for horses in the army, thinking that the place was a very symbolic place. That night the long-tailed iron rails were dropped. Later, in 1946, when he was about to raise the statue of a monastery, Ch.Khoibalsh decided to build the monument and build a monument.

Then, on July 11, Dukhbaatar, a general-purpose wooden troop of the Soviet Union and Soviet Red Army troops and the general public, declared a declaration of defeating foreign invaders from their country of origin. 1929-1945, 1929-1930 printing company, VINLENINI club and government (currently Mongolian State University of Education) students' school, which was established in 1927 after the sixth anniversary of the People's Revolution. (now in the center of the Cultural Center), the single and double buildings were put into operation shortly.

According to the Resolution of the Council of Ministers and the Central Committee of the MPRP, the "Plan of Reorganization of Central Ulaanbaatar" was adopted in 1945, on April 15, 1946, handed over 6000 cubic meters of dirt from the State Building theater building, ground level. The work was attended by Kh. Choibalsan and Yu.Tsedenbal, party leaders, and Soviet experts and ordinary citizens.

The design of the monument D. Sukhbaatar's statue was created by sculptor Ch. Boghola. The draft of the statue, depicted on the cliffs of the jujube, is on February 23, 1946, by the Council of Ministers and the Central Committee of the MPRP 13/3. According to the decree, the statue was built shortly in the center of the Indians and opened on the 8th of July 1946 on the 25th anniversary of the People's Revolution. Since then, Indra Square was renamed Sukhbaatar square.

The four-meter tall statue of granite, made of granite, was set at a height of 12 meters above the base of a sunny, high-rise staircase. On the sides of the concrete roof, the revolutionary event is emblazoned on the left side: "Our country unites unity and unites a single force, united where there is no place to go, and no one can know and can not find pleasure in pleasure. we have the courage to know our hearts. " The 14 statues of white lions connected to the outside of the statue were symbolically placed on the exterior of the statue of the 14 white lions.
